Is R850 the total, or will there be extra fees?
R850 is the price of the registration: our service and CIPC's filing fee. Two things sit outside it: getting your ID copies certified, and courier if you'd like printed copies. You'll see the full price before you pay.
Can't I just register with CIPC myself?
Yes, and it costs less. Our R850 pays for the paperwork, the checking, the filing and the follow-up, plus a person to call. If you'd rather do it yourself, CIPC's BizPortal is the place to start.
How long does it take?
Typically 3–5 working days from when you pay. CIPC sets the pace, and a name that's already taken can add time. That's why we ask for backup names.
What's a certified ID copy, and where do I get one?
It's a photocopy of your ID that an official stamps as a true copy of the original. Police stations and commissioners of oaths can do this. Don't have it yet? Save your progress and finish later.
What if my company name is taken?
We check your names in the order you give them and reserve the first one that's available. Give us at least one backup and there's no need to start over.
What if I change my mind, or something goes wrong?
Our refund terms are in our Terms & Conditions. We link them right at payment, so you can read them before you pay.
Can I register something other than a Pty Ltd?
Online, we register private companies (Pty Ltd). It's the most common structure for small South African businesses. Not sure it's right for you? Call us and we'll talk it through.
Start in five minutes. Finish whenever you're ready.
